Matthew 10
7 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
We are commanded to go! This may mean following the Spirit’s leading for our family, neighbors and co-workers. This may mean obeying the prompting of God to speak with a total stranger. Whatever it looks like, it involves a willingness on our part to be used by the Lord.
Many of us are terrified to speak. We are afraid we will not know what to say, or how to communicate the Gospel. LOVEwalk is about overcoming our fear of inadequacy. LOVEwalk is about positioning our hearts before God. We are willing to be willing! We are in training to be Spirit led ambassadors!! Whatever the need, whatever the context, want to be ready and equipped to be used by God.
Matthew 25
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
LOVEwalk is about bringing the hope of Jesus to those who may have lost all hope. Jesus came to seek out the lost. Many times our churches pray for the lost to come in, but Jesus took a more aggressive approach: He went out looking for the hurting. There is something about setting aside time to seek out those who need help, those who need food, those who need hope… really, those who need God.
Circumstances and trials can bring even the best of men or women into desperation. We invite you to be part of LOVEwalk, and meet these men, women and children right where they are. LOVEwalk is all about going! You will make a huge impact! You were made for this!
